Founded in 2003 by Minister Lori Howard, Arms Wide Open Ministries, Inc. is
a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation. The mission of Arms Wide Open Ministries (AWOM) is
to heal and empower individuals and families by providing a place of
emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual, restoration and growth. This is
accomplished through our innovative programs that merge proven clinical
strategies with Christian principles.
AWOM has three primary areas of operation: programs, social enterprises, and ministerial outreaches. The goal of
all of the AWOM programs is to help individuals and families develop healthy
and fulfilling lifestyles. AWOM has developed programs to serve specific
populations such as at risk youth, those who are addicted, ex-offenders, and perpetrators of domestic violence.
Our Social Enterprises are designed to provide economic support to the ministry, provide employment/workforce training to those we serve, bring economic development to the communities we serve, and an opportunity to teach business ownership and management skills. It is our desire to raise a new generation of entrepreneurs who will not only prosper but bring prosperity to their community.
Our Ministry Outreaches are designed to meet specific needs of the community that are outside the scope of our programs (i.e. the Matthew 25:35 Outreach provides household goods and clothing to those in need). The objective of all of our outreaches is to share the heart of Christ and promote unity within body of Christ and our communities.
Arms Wide Open Ministries owns
and operates a small farm in Monroe County.
The farm is used for recreational activities and our community service
programs. Arms Wide Open
Ministries hopes to acquire a larger facility in the future that will
house all of our current and future programs under one roof.

Statement of Faith
We
believe
…there
is one eternal God and that He exists in three persons” The Father, The Son
and the Holy Spirit.
....the Bible is the divinely inspired, inerrant and complete Word of God.
…..Jesus is the Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the
Virgin Mary. Jesus died on the cross for our sins. He was resurrected from
the grave and is seated on the right hand of the father. Through the
shedding of His blood, Jesus covered our sins and made salvation available
to all of humanity.
…the
only way to come into the fullness of relationship with God is through
repentance of our sins and accepting the sacrifice of His son Jesus Christ .
…..in
the indwelling of the Holy Spirit who is given to believers to counsel,
convict, comfort and strengthen and as a deposit on our inheritance.
…that
all believers make up the church, which is the Body of Christ. Each part of
the body has a distinct God given purpose that is vital to completing the
work of God.
