The heart of Arms Wide Open Ministries is to heal and empower the hurting. These programs have been developed from observation of the need of these services in the communities we serve.
Current Programs
Exodus I & II Youth and Adult Substance Abuse Recovery Programs
These programs are outpatient recovery programs that assist the student in getting clean and or sober by establishing a plan for recovery, identifying relapse triggers and working their recovery plan. Students attend two group sessions per week and one bi-weekly individual session.
Visual art, music, videos, dramatizations, and role-play are incorporated into the group sessions to enhance the recovery learning process.
Arms Wide Open is currently developing a pilot program for adults in the program who are recovering from addiction to pain medication. So often those in recovery relapse due to their inability to cope with the pain that lead to their addiction. We have identified a method of treatment that we plan to incorporate into the Exodus curriculum to develop a ground-breaking comprehensive drug free pain management recovery program.
